Return of IT Equipment
As a financial expenditure the purchase of IT hardware and software
packages represent an on-going and substantial cost to the Company.
Consequently your manager is wholly responsible for the cost effective
procurement, distribution, allocation, redeployment and legal usage of all IT
systems/equipment within the Company.
Upon leaving the A1 Group all IT equipment issued to staff (Laptops/Desktop PC’s) remains the property of the A1 Group and must be returned to your manager. The employing department must not retain the equipment, neither should the equipment be passed across nor exchanged with other employees. Any requests for reallocation or redeployment of Laptops/Desktops within the A1 Group premises must be discussed in advance with a Director. The Director will then consider if there are good reasons for the reallocation and/or determine the most appropriate means to ensure that the equipment is properly reassigned.
Supervising Managers

It is the responsibility of all Managers to ensure that they liaise with their employee and confirm all of the above details within the timeframes specified. They will monitor the return of equipment and any failure or lateness in returning items will be escalated to a Director.
These procedures relate to all Information Technology equipment provided to employee and contractors working for A1 Group.
